Somalisa Acacia Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
Somalisa: The abode of elephants
Located in a section of Hwange National Park preferred by elephants, it is not surprising that Somalisa Acacia Camp and its adjacent Somalisa Camp refer to their environment as “the home of the elephants.” This camp accommodates a maximum of eight guests, providing an exceptionally intimate safari experience situated on the route between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
Hwange National Park is the largest national park in the country. This wildlife sanctuary, characterized by pans, acacia trees, and seasonal floodplains, hosts a diverse range of fauna, including one of the continent’s largest populations of Cape wild dogs. Birdwatchers will be delighted to discover that Hwange is home to more than 400 distinct bird species.
Somalisa Acacia Camp features three twin-bedded tents and one family tent, all situated under the shade of surrounding acacia trees and elevated on wooden decks. Each accommodation features an en-suite bathroom and private vistas of a tiny waterhole. The primary camp features a splash pool, perfect for refreshing oneself after a day of game drives and hiking excursions.
