The 75,000-hectare Madikwe Game Reserve, home to the Impodimo Game Lodge, is abundant in wildlife and vegetation, and is malaria-free.  If that does not persuade you to visit, consider this: the lodge is hewn into a hillside and provides a panoramic view of the expansive wildlife reserve.

 Madikwe, nourished by the Marico River, boasts a diverse array of animals, including the Big Five, wild dogs, cheetahs, and over 350 bird species.  Morning and evening open vehicle game drives are conducted by expert trackers, and a specialized safari program is available for children under six years of age.
