The Realm of the Western Lowland Gorilla

 Located in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, part of the Congo Basin, home to the world’s second-largest rainforest, Ngaga Camp provides a unique experience with habituated western lowland gorillas.  This sanctuary in the Republic of Congo’s most splendid nature beckons you to pursue these magnificent creatures through the rainforest.

 Allow proficient local trekkers to assist you in locating gorillas that have, after extensive research, become habituated to human presence.  Examine the trails and indicators while harnessing your innate intuition to locate these magnificent beings.  Encounter crowned and moustached monkeys, along with the occasional central chimpanzee, during your exhilarating yet polite interaction with these African primates.  Traverse the Ndzehe Forest along a meticulously kept path, go into marshy landscapes, relish midnight excursions in pursuit of elusive monkeys, and marvel at the pristine grandeur of Congo-Brazzaville.

 Situated in a glade among an unspoiled rainforest, Ngaga Camp’s accommodations are elevated above the surrounding canopy.  A dining room, lounge, and bar area are situated on elevated decks that provide a panoramic view of the lush landscape, ensuring complete immersion.  A star deck, a fire pit, and an additional deck adjacent to the Ngaga Stream are provided for recreation and observation.
