Luxury and nature at One Only Nyungwe House

One&Only Nyungwe House is situated at the periphery of Nyungwe Forest National Park in Gisakura, on an operational tea plantation.  The resort offers comfortable accommodations, superior facilities, and the advantage of proximity to Nyungwe Forest, one of Africa’s largest and oldest highland rainforests.

 Activities at the resort primarily occur within the national park, where guests can engage in trekking for chimpanzees, black-and-white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, blue monkeys, and golden monkeys.  A variety of guided excursions are offered, including a swamp trek, waterfall hike, and avian observation walk.  Visitors may also explore the adjacent tea factory and surrounding neighborhoods.  Alternatively, unwind at the poolside boma, swim in the pool while appreciating the surrounding woodland vistas, or indulge in treatments at the spa.

Twenty-two luxury rooms are distributed among six wooden villas, in addition to two Presidential Suites, each located in distinct villas.  Each accommodation is en-suite, with private patios with forest views, air-conditioning, a fireplace, a minibar, tea/coffee amenities, satellite television, and Wi-Fi.  Dine at the restaurant or dining area and enjoy beverages at the tea lounge and bar.
