A tranquil riverside retreat

 Thakadu River Camp is situated on the banks of the Marico River, nestled among verdant tree canopies and overlooking the rushing waterway.  Located in the Madikwe Game Reserve, one of the rare malaria-free reserves in Southern Africa, this camp provides opportunities to see and photograph a varied array of species and plants.

 The reserve can be explored either by vehicle or on foot.  In both instances, trained rangers will guide you around this natural wonderland, sharing invaluable expertise and experience.  Anticipate encountering numerous magnificent wildlife, including lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, cheetahs, and black and white rhinoceroses.

 Thakadu River Camp offers 12 Tented Suites, tastefully adorned with a blend of African and Asian aesthetics.  Each includes an own viewing balcony, an inside bath and shower, air conditioning, coffee-making amenities, and electrical outlets.  Exploring the resort, one will encounter an appealing swimming pool and an even more enticing bar area with a view of the river.
