Tafika Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
Embark on a safari by foot, bicycle, or vehicle with Tafika Camp.
Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, renowned for its walking safaris and the continent’s most pristine river system, is essential for both experienced and novice safari enthusiasts. Tafika Camp, operational seasonally, provides a personalized safari experience in a locale abundant with over 400 avian species and about 40 mammalian species. Located along the banks of the Luangwa River in the Nsefu Sector, the camp offers four-person game drives and accommodates a maximum of 14 guests, ensuring solitude and exclusivity.
The flora of Luangwa fluctuates with the seasons, rendering it a remarkably diverse park to explore. During the arid season, the park consists of desolate bushveld, whereas the seasonal rains transform Luangwa into a verdant paradise. The oxbow lagoons of the Luangwa River draw diverse species, including wallowing hippopotamus pods, darting kingfishers, and migrating elephant herds.
Four of Tafika’s six en-suite reed cottages include twin double beds, whereas the Honeymoon Suite includes a king-size bed. A two-bedroom Family Suite is available for couples with children or friends traveling together.a
