 A solitary kopje in the South-Central Serengeti houses the Serengeti Pioneer Camp, which embodies a style reminiscent of the mobile safari camps of the 1930s.  Experience a nostalgic reminiscence of an era when an African safari was a genuine expedition into the unknown, as you gaze upon the unparalleled vistas of the expansive Serengeti plains.

 The camp is located in the center of Serengeti National Park and serves as an excellent base for exploring the Serengeti plains during day and night game drives in pursuit of the perennial Big 5 population.  As it traverses the camp, visitors are afforded unparalleled access to the most extraordinary natural phenomenon on the planet—the Great Migration—an annual movement of almost two million animals.

 The interiors of the ten tented accommodations mimic the ambiance of a 1930s mobile safari camp, featuring canvas-covered floors adorned with throw carpets, a writing desk with stationery, and soft, plush furnishings.  A Makuti thatched lounge, furnished with numerous plush couches and chairs, is situated on a rocky outcrop, providing breathtaking vistas of the expansive plains extending toward the horizon.
