A haven for avian enthusiasts on the Eastern Cape

 Situated within the 25,000-hectare malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve, Bayethe Tented Lodge offers an exceptional tented safari camp experience in the Eastern Cape.  Concealed by riparian foliage, each tented apartment provides seclusion from its neighbors, while the gentle whisper of leaves in the breeze ensures tranquility and relaxation.

 Shamwari Private Game Reserve features flora, fauna, and avifauna from five distinct ecosystems, providing a diverse and exhilarating observation experience for its visitors.  Game drives in open 4×4 vehicles occur in the morning and afternoon, traversing the terrain in pursuit of the Big 5 and a diverse array of raptors, including the black harrier, fish eagle, pale chanting goshawk, and kingfisher.

 Accommodation comprises Superior Tents, each featuring an own plunge pool and an internal fireplace.  All tents include an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and a mini-bar, with some offering indoor showers.  The camp spa provides an array of health and beauty therapies aimed at revitalization and stimulation.
