Dolomite Camp : Rates, Reviews, Booking Information
From the ethereal elevations of Dolomite overlooking Etosha
The Etosha Pan, once a vast lake millions of years ago, now presents a glaring white expanse over 4,800 km², detectable even from space. Surrounded by Etosha National Park and with a diverse array of wildlife, including migratory flamingos and four of the Big Five, this location is undoubtedly one of Namibia’s essential locations. Dolomite Camp, an elevation safari retreat, overlooks the game-rich plains of Etosha, catering to visitors of the park.
The Etosha Pan spans an amazing 130 kilometers in length and 50 kilometers in width in many areas, including over a fourth of the park. Its designation translates to “big white spot,” which, during the wet season, is tinged pink due to the influx of migratory flamingos. The park is home to hartebeest, black-faced impala, spotted hyena, and giraffe, as well as several bird species.
Dolomite Camp comprises 18 Bush Chalets and two Deluxe Chalets oriented East or West to provide enchanting sunset or sunrise views. Each unit is equipped with mosquito nets, safes, workstations, bathroom amenities, tea/coffee stations, and a sitting space, with many chalets featuring private plunge pools.
