Camp beneath the celestial canopy in Damaraland
Doro Nawas Camp, situated in the arid Aba-Huab River Valley, offers guests an unparalleled and breathtaking perspective of the night sky, far off from the urban luminescence. Here, you will encounter a unique stargazing experience: each of the 16 Rooms features a verandah designed for exceptional sleepouts among the stars.
By day, your verandah offers a vista of magnificent mountains and gorges of Damaraland, arid riverbeds, harsh savannah plains, and the red sandstone cliffs of Twyfelfontein. The latter is a World Heritage Site featuring ancient San rock art, and excursions to this natural marvel can be organized. Visitors may go in a picturesque drive or guided stroll, with the opportunity to observe springbok, gemsbok, or even elephants.
The apartments are constructed from a combination of stone and canvas, enabling them to harmonize with the austere surroundings. Every room is equipped with a private bathroom and an outdoor shower. Engage with your fellow travelers in the communal area, which features a dining space, swimming pool, bar, and gift shop.
