Exquisitely captivating Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

The distant northern Damaraland region of Namibia is an area so desolate and unwelcoming that it can only be characterized as eerily beautiful.  The sole source of respite is arid riverbeds nourished by intermittent freshwater springs.  The Hoanib River, a vital source of life, traverses a private concession near the Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, highlighting the resilient animals inhabiting the arid landscape.

An study of this arid terrain occurs through game drives that traverse the slender strip of vegetation flourishing along the desiccated riverbed, in pursuit of desert-adapted elephants, gemsbok, giraffes, and occasionally, distant lions.  Encounter a microcosm of the Namib Desert within the remarkably diverse terrain of the adjacent Skeleton Coast National Park.

The camp boasts a straightforward, traditional style and comprises seven spacious tents and a family unit, each equipped with en-suite toilets and shaded outside decks.  Relax during the sweltering days by the refreshing swimming pool and enjoy the brisk evenings by the expansive fireplace.
