Ruzizi Tented Camp in a tranquil Akagera environment

The exclusive Ruzizi Tented Lodge comprises merely nine tents and is situated in Akagera National Park adjacent to Lake Ihema.  The lodge, fully solar-powered, integrates harmoniously with its environment and provides visitors with expansive lake vistas, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional chances for avian and wildlife observation in Akagera.

 Akagera’s swamps, lakes, plains, and mountains host approximately 500 avian species, significant plains game including elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, topi, eland, and roan antelope, many primate species, and predators like as hyenas, side-striped jackals, leopards, lions, hippos, and crocodiles.  Game drives, excursions on Lake Ihema, nocturnal drives, and avian safaris are offered.

Nine tents are distributed along a boardwalk flanking the central space that features a lounge bar and dining room.  The deck facing the lake is the perfect location for tranquil days, savoring evening drinks, or warming by the campfire each night while admiring the star-filled sky.  Each tent is equipped with either a queen-size bed or two twin beds, along with an en-suite bathroom.
