 Individuals possessing an adventurous disposition and a passion for the wilderness will be captivated by Shamwari’s Explorer Camp, which offers guests a two-to-three-day expedition within its 25,000-hectare Big 5 Game Reserve.  Anticipate sleeping in tents by the fire, lulled to slumber by the sounds of nature, and dedicating your day to trekking through the wilderness, following lion prides and rhinoceroses.

The Explorer Camp offers guests a genuine safari experience.  If luxurious accommodations and Wi-Fi connectivity are essential to you, this is not the appropriate location.  The camp is situated atop a plateau, equipped with a viewing platform that provides stunning vistas of the reserve beneath.

The Explorer Camp contains three tents, each accommodating two individuals.  Each tent is equipped with two-fold-out stretchers with duvets and pillows, a cabinet, an LED lamp, an external hand basin, a hammock, and provisions including bug repellent, towels, tissues, shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, and sanitary bags.
