 Shindzela Tented Camp embodies both a luxurious bush camp and an integral component of the forest.  Named in the African Shangaan language after the elusive honey badger, the camp mirrors this remarkable creature in its unique and seldom contribution to the safari experience.

The genuine camp is located in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, which is a segment of the Greater Kruger National Park.  From this location, Shindzela offers exceptional wildlife viewing experiences, traversing the unfenced African bush by open 4×4 vehicles, on foot during walking safaris, and through hide sleepouts.  Safari activities are conducted by expert guides who possess a profound passion for their surroundings.

Shindzela hosts a maximum of 16 guests in eight en-suite safari tents constructed of canvas and situated on wooden decks.  The camp is environmentally sustainable and utilizes solar energy and gas for power.  Experience captivating views of the riverbed and waterhole while enjoying a swim in the camp’s pool.  The central African fireplace in the camp’s primary dining/lounge room serves as an ideal location for narrating the day’s exploits.
