Experience the pinnacle of nature at Thanda Safari Tented Camp.

Located in the privately owned Thanda Private Game Reserve, Thanda Tented Camp aims to provide an authentic safari camp experience.  To accomplish this, the camp is devoid of electricity, utilizing paraffin lamps and the flickering illumination from the boma for lighting.  The camp is powered by limited solar energy and a backup generator for a few hours daily, enabling guests to recharge their cameras and other devices.

Safaris conducted in the early morning and late afternoon within this private reserve are likely to produce exhilarating encounters.  Spanning 14,000 hectares of African wilderness, expect to encounter the Big 5, along with cheetahs, warthogs, hyenas, and the rare wild dog.  The vegetation and avifauna are abundant and diverse, providing enthusiasts with numerous hours of exhilarating exploration.

 Accommodation has 14 spacious tents in addition to the distinctive Jabula Tent.  Every tent is equipped with a ceiling fan, outdoor shower, in-room safe, sun deck, and a personal minibar.  The Jabula Tent, ideal for a honeymoon or romantic retreat, is situated slightly apart from the main camp to enhance intimacy and includes a private splash pool and eating boma.
